Unico is an idea sparked from a visionary Italian family for which gelato is more than just a simple dessert.
The journey started when Elena Manfroni joined forces with her husband, Gianluca Vitali, and Leonardo Ragazzi, owner of the award-winning gelato parlour in Bologna – Cremeria Funivia.
With more than half a century of experience, in 2015, Elena, Gianluca, and Leonardo opened an artisanal gelato parlour in Bromley, London. The store quickly took off and grew, also thanks to the support of the Italian football legends Gianfranco Zola and Roberto Di Matteo, who invested in our company and contributed to its expansion in Central London, Milan and Lisbon.

Our shops are equipped with top-tier internal laboratories that guarantee the whole homemade production process, which takes place daily.
Quality and freshness are our key driving factors reflected in the choices we make along our supply chain. We source our ingredients from both local farms and our motherland, like Sicilian pistachios and Piemontese hazelnuts.
Additionally, we offer products suitable for Vegans and Celiacs, with gelato flavours free of dairy, gluten, and other top allergens.
Dreaming to expand across the globe, we made room for our sister brand with stars and stripes: Gelato&Co.
Now counting 9 stores across North and Central America (2 shops in Cayman, 3 in Florida, Puerto Rico, Aruba, Denver and Houston), as well as many more foreseen to open soon, Gelato&Co shares Unico’s mission: becoming the ambassador of authentic Italian gelato.
