Elephants and Gelato.

The planet we live in right now is the only one we’ve got, and it’s not only ours. We share it with thousands and thousands of other living beings. As humans, we have the responsibility to protect them for generations to come, as many of them cannot do it by themselves. We wanted to get involved somehow and give our little grain of sand. Recently we met an amazing swimwear brand Love Brand & Co , which its core value since their beginnings has been their love towards elephants. They support different kind of initiatives and organizations to protect our big fellows. Without any doubt we wanted to be part of this and what a better way to do so than by unifying efforts to drive awareness around it organizing events and bringing new ideas to the table.     This past Thursday 30th was our first collaboration of many to come. We had a special time at their store, celebrating life and the wonderful weather we have had this summer in London. As authentic Italian Gelato lovers, for this event, we prepared a tasting of our two gourmet flavours; Cremino and Leonardo. Cremino is a delicious mix of Hazelnut infused with white chocolate Gelato while Leonardo is made from Peanut custard and toasted peanuts. Our Master Gelato Maker studied the combination of what peanut and the rest of the ingredients would taste like and the consistency. The end result was this unique creaminess and rich in delightful taste, it was named after Leonardo; who created this masterpiece years ago; but we just introduced to the market. Our stand was placed outside by the entrance, where the guests and everybody passing by had the opportunity to try them. The combination of these two flavours was a hit, people fell in love with it. Vegan guests were also there and got the chance to be delighted by the Mango sorbet and Vegan Dark Chocolate Gelato.     Drink Long Tail Mixer, and Aluna Coconut, attended as exclusive guests of the event, sharing their artisanal drinks alongside our Creamy Gelato. Unquestionably, Gelato and Cocktail made the perfect combo to have a pleasant, funny and delicious evening.

The Italian Aperitivo in Bromley is back. In our last three episodes of the Italian Aperitivo we had a blast, so we decided to keep it going and prepare two more events for this first summer season. In case you missed them or you want to live the experience again, next Friday, August 17th is the perfect chance to do it. Savour a variety of Authentic Italian Delicacies that are going to be prepared specially for these event by our bolognese chef, for you to taste them all; like our new appetiser on the menu, the BUBBLES, a panino with the shape of a bubble filled with deliciousness like ham & cheese, bolognese and more… Remember, it is all you can eat. For us, preparing this kind of events fill us with so much joy and happiness, it’s our way of sharing with you a little bit of our culture and values. We are so excited to tell you all about our newest partnership with “Not just Yoga”, an amazing brand that is disrupting the way we see and practice yoga by applying its principles to everyday life. “Collaborate & succeed” their motto, is about bringing together open-minded & positive people in amazing events with creative concepts for everyone to enjoy and connect while they get fit. For the first time, this Sunday 29th Yoga and Gelato are coming together at the Floating Garden in Paddington Basin. This will be a great experience filled with good vibes and amazing people, all ready to squeeze the max out of the opportunity. Two yoga/fit sessions will be held (10:30 am and 1:00 PM), followed by a champagne brunch, music and of course our authentic Italian gelato. Have a taste of our different vegan flavours we’ll be offering after the yoga session, and if you’re feeling like having more than one, no worries, we will be staying for the AFTER BRUNCH PARTY. Siamo arrivati a Milano!   Unico has traversed back through Europe to our home ground, Italy – this time in Milan! The new site will be opening in just a matter of weeks and we are just adding our final touches to this labour of love ❤️️   We hope our new shop in Milan will be up there with the Duomo and Galleria Vittorio Emanuele as a top place to visit If you’re ever in town, come visit us to experience the same great things you’ve been getting from us in London. We want to become a household name in the gelato industry in Italy, which we have pretty much aced on the London side of things – if we do say so ourselves!   If you’re reading this and you’re heading to Milan soon, or know someone that is (send them this blog!), then we hope to see you! Our production centre in Fulham has just opened its doors to the public and lovely residents of SW6, serving our delicious gelato fresh out of the kitchen! This will definitely be the best gelato that Fulham Palace Road has ever seen. Heading to Putney Bridge for a nice walk or to Bishops Park? Be sure to pay us a visit on your way, we can’t wait to meet our neighbours! Not only can you order Unico gelato to take away, but you can also customize a cake of your choice for any special occasion. We’ve been talking business with our friends over at Toyroom Club in Mayfair, and have come up with a unique Unico x ToyRoom collaboration to blow you out of the water. This Easter Friday, come experience something you’ve never seen before. We’ll probably be the first ever to serve our products in a club, and we’ve come up with a typically Unico welcoming cocktail for our fellow Toyroom partygoers – a milkshake with mango and strawberry sorbet that is perfect to celebrate the fact that Summer is almost on its way… We have also handmade Unico x Toyroom Easter Eggs with a gift inside, using our famous Unico chocolate, so keep your eyes out for those, and hope you’ll be one of the lucky ones to get your hands on one. The people of St John’s Wood are counting their lucky stars as we set up shop on the high street. It’s the moment North London has been waiting for! It is just as exciting for them as it is for us, as it is all part of our mission to spread our ethos borne from the passion of Italy coupled with the innovation of London – which has created some darn good delicacies. If you didn’t know about us yet, then now is your chance.
